Girls Havelock North High School girls were a very young team to go to Nationals in Wellington with only one Year 13 in the team, which bodes well for future years. It was a good result for such a young team as they ended up finishing top of the Hawkes Bay schools in the Girls grade. The team was: Gabriella Anderson, Maggie Brunton, Lauren Hartridge, Brooklyn McDonald, Aishlin McIntyre, Megan Mudaly, Eden O’Leary, Sophie Pyott, Laura Somerville, Monique Thomson, Libby Wakefield and Cheyenne Welsh (Captain). As a member of HNHS futsal girls B grade team, which has won their pool multiple times, we have enjoyed playing futsal throughout our years of high school. Each Futsal Senior Girls Team Back Row: Lauren Hartridge, Sophie Pyott year we have added new members to our team and all Front Row: Cheyenne Welsh (Captain), Brooklyn McDonald, Monique Thomson have carried on in our team as they have enjoyed the sport so much. We have also had exchange students who Absent: Bianca Flanders have joined our team to get the best experience in a sport which requires team effort, team tactics and teamwork. We have thoroughly enjoyed futsal and we always look forward to playing every season. At the beginning of the year we won the B grade final.
