Treble Chorus is a choir for young female vocalists
wanting to extend their training in hope to reach the
level of the auditioned choirs. Having sessions every
Thursday morning before school, this selection of
year nine and ten girls learn the ways of the art from
choral mentor and director, Mrs Melville. Although
Treble Chorus do not participate in as many performances as other choirs do, such as the Big Sing
competition, they still make it an aim to perform at
the school’s annual music festival. This aim was met
by performing alongside Voix de Femmes with the
piece, “May You Always Have a Song.”
We as year ten students in this choir, having participated for two years, have thoroughly enjoyed the
time that we have spent in Treble Chorus. We hope
that this choir continues to progress over the years,
and look forward to seeing where it goes in the future.
