School Uniform Description
At Hoover, students must wear tan, khaki or
navy blue pants, skirts, or shorts in cotton
or a polyester blend. Extremely loose fitting,
baggy or long pants are unacceptable. No bell
bottoms, corduroy, painter, cargo, or carpenter
style (pants with side pockets on the lower
part of the legs) are permitted. Students may
not wear blue jeans. Shorts and skirts must be
no shorter than three inches above the knee
or “capri” length. Black, white or cream socks
and tights may be worn. Students may wear a
Hoover Elementary School logo t-shirt, hooded
sweatshirt, polo shirt, or zip-up hoodie in white
or dark blue.

Elementary TK-5
Hoover is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
(STEM) School with an environmental focus. Students have
the opportunity to engage in hands-on science, gardening,
math, and literacy. Students have the unique opportunity
to read in balanced literacy groups and read a variety of
fiction and non-fiction texts. Our students are motivated
and empowered to reach high expectations and are held
accountable to perform at or above grade level. Staff is
confident and supportive of each other. Hoover promotes a
loving academic school/home connection which instills the
love of learning that will take our students through college,
the workforce, and follow them throughout their lives.
