The nice, elderly lady I spoke to was Eleana Johnson. I met her at Newport News at a church. She attended Hampton University were she met her future husband. At Hampton Ms. Johnson originally studied nursing but switched to education. It was an important switch considering her students went on to become doctors, lawyers, congressmen, etc. She also lived temporarily in New York working on her doctorate degree. For her the big apple was a rewarding experience that created a change from less populated communities that she grew up with. After college Ms. Johnson traveled far and wide with her husband from Chicago to Alaska for a cruise. She then ended up teaching at Hampton and has a daughter that went to Hampton too. Hampton is and will always be her home because of the many family members that attended the historic university.
In a lifetime you will meet all kinds of people, and I guarantee you they are all different in there own way. Some may be taller, shorter, or even have different personalities.

Yesterday I met a wonderful person named Barbara Jones at the Caver Memorial Presbyterian Church in Newport News, Virginia. She was a respectful woman who just loves the church. Her love for the church started early at the age of twelve becoming part of the quire. As the conversation went on, I started to think Ms. Jones and I have a lot in common. She went to college for a marketing degree, and when I go to college I plan on majoring in marketing, she has 3 siblings like me, and she loves going outside to play. As we were heading towards the end of our conversation, I asked her,“ How do you overcome fear?” She responded saying,“ I do not let it take over me, just always make sure the Lord is in your heart.” That made me smile, and I will always remember she said that. When it was time to depart back to Hampton University, she gave me a huge confidence boost by saying,“ You are on the right path to a successful future.” I thanked her so much, and I would love to see her again.
