Had a mission of Functional Education on Informal sector Development for self Employment Job Creation to Eradicate Hunger and Poverty. This is a rural self-help functional Informal sector development to earn an income. Having noted that food, unemployment and poverty are fundamental challenges and economic problems caused by ignorance, illiteracy, laziness and lack of funding support to them and on their developmental programs, the members, formed this association to address their problems. The purpose was to initiate and promote carpentry, tailoring, catering, Horticulture and upland Rice farming in their area as an occupation and business to solve unemployment problem and generate cash income to improve on their standards of life by affording good health, education and shelter. They had the following objectives; 1.to promote sustainable food and economic development to eradicate hunger, poverty and sickness; 2. Finding a solution to job of job creation in commercial farming, carpentry and tailoring to occupy our farmers growing population and change from subsistence farming to prosperity; 2. To uplift the social and economic status of the community through agriculture as a food and cash crop to improve on their welfare. 16 Their hope was to provide a ray of hope to the member’s lives and their families. We are excited at this opportunity for NAMCA to partner with Mr. Henry Nakisali and the Undungu project to make a difference to this community. We believe that the sewing machines and hoes that we are contributing will be used in equipping our people with the skills they need to make a living and to boost the local economy. Rather than provide you with fish, we prefer that you learn how to fish and we hope that this donation will in some way help to realize that goal. We realize how difficult it is to sustain these grass-root projects but yet may have a more lasting impact on the community. We know that it is a thankless job you are doing. This donation is our way of encouraging you to stay the course. We only wish we could do better.
