12th Annual Contest
Division G, District 79
Message from the
Immediate Past District 79 Governor
Dear my fellow Division G Annual Contest Delegates,
Today we feel the G-reatness, the A-ttitude and C-ommitment to E-xcel.
With eyes beaming with excitement and hand longing for warm and firm
handshake, your IPDG greets you all, CONGRATULATIONS! Let this Division
G 12th Annual Contest 2016 realizes our Individual communication and
leadership goals – the club, area, division and District 79 Goal.
The law of nature dictates that if there is energy, there is attraction.
When I was young, I was wondering why fishermen in our nearby fishing
village in our town of Makato, in the Province of Aklan, Philippines, were
carrying Kerosen lamp we commonly call Petromax, the most popular
brand of pressurized paraffin lamp in those days, when they went fishing.
Later I was told that fish are attracted by the light. When school of fish or
swarm of krill (small ocean shrimps) are attracted by the light mounted on
their manual paddled boat, the fishermen then tossed their net to catch
them.
This 12th Annual Contest 2016 is the light, the energy of Division G. It is the
energy that attracts the swarm of delegates, Toastmasters and guest alike
to, compete, learn, communicate, cooperate and network with all the fun
and excitement – group activities that spell excellence.
Let us bring this energy back to our clubs, let our moments in the Contest
stay in our hearts and minds to continue attracting our attention and focus
to our goals and dreams so that we will always be inspired and motivated
to achieve and succeed in all aspects of our life.
I wanted to commend the leadership of our Div G Director Mohammed
Kunhi Purayil, fully supported by the Division Excom and Council Members
for the successful Contest. I also feel proud for the accomplishment of
Contest Chairman and Area 7 Director Ramces Dungog for a G-reat and
G-igantic Div G Contest 2016 with the help of powerhouse Committee
Chairpersons and members.
Together in Division G, let us have the A-ttitude and C-ommitment to E-xcel
not only in Toastmasters but in our life here and beyond. Let us be the Big
G, the G-reatness for ourselves and others.
