Alexandra Poulter and Emily Rose Rarrick ( P ) Vaccine Hesitancy in COVID 19 : How can Public Health and Social Work Professionals Work Together to Improve Trust in Healthcare ? Immunization is considered one of the most successful and costeffective public health interventions by the World Health Organization . However , there is growing concern that vaccination rates are insufficient to effectively control the spread of some infectious diseases . Research on COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy has found that a multitude of sociodemographic factors including sex , age , education , and occupation were associated with vaccination acceptance , along with other variables like trust in authorities , risk perception of COVID-19 and perception of vaccine efficacy and safety . Our project explores how Public Health and Social Work can work together to decrease vaccine hesitancy , improve trust in healthcare and optimize health outcomes more equitably . Jaritza Rivera-Franco , Rhonette Robinson , and Jenna Gannon ( P ) Sensory Strategies for Adults with Developmental Disabilities This literature review will explore the benefits of sensory rooms . Olivia Lore ( In ) Perforating the Pipeline : An Investigation into Juvenile Correctional Education in the United States In the United States , there is an expansive history of litigation against juvenile correctional facilities founded on deprivation of education . While extensive research exists on the education of adult convicts , investigation into juvenile correctional education is lacking . Through the personal experiences of exjuvenile inmates , this study assesses instrumental factors of American juvenile correctional education that motivate students to pursue an education or career post-release . A two-part , phenomenological study design is employed , involving a survey and interview of ex-juvenile convicts . To promote success among inmates ’ post-release , juvenile facilities should implement the proposed suggestions concerning correctional educators , curriculum , and resource / funding allocation .
