Parth Patel ( In ) The Language of Healthcare : How Communication in Pediatrics Affects Patient Satisfaction and Adherence Communication between a pediatrician and their patient profoundly impacts the efficacy of a healthcare system in educating and serving patients . This study investigates how prevalent communicative factors impact patient satisfaction and treatment adherence during medical interviews . A survey that included a sample pediatrician-patient dialogue , seven Likert-scale questions , and four short-answer questions based on the dialogue was administered to 31 parents . Data analysis showed that effective patient education , investigative questions and responses , and a welcoming atmosphere had strong correlations with increased patient satisfaction and adherence . However , future research must investigate how these factors can be implemented into medical training programs .
