When experienced restaurateurs Molly Hawks and Michael Fagnoni landed in Granite Bay 14 years ago next month , they didn ’ t realize what a foodie dreamscape it would be . “ We would get ingredients brought to us ,” recalls Molly , who met her husband and business partner working under Food & Wine ’ s Best New Chef Mark Sullivan at the acclaimed Village Pub in Woodside . “ There are lots of cool little farms around here , so we started highlighting special ingredients to show off their products .” Hawks ’ menu is a delicious combination of time-honored French and Italian cooking techniques and the bounty of the seasons from nearby farms .
