Harvard Krokodiloes Radcliffe Pitches
The Harvard Krokodiloes are very excited to visit Beijing
once again this year and cannot thank Ivy Education
enough for the opportunity to perform for your
community. As a group, one of our main goals while
touring is to inspire children around the world both to
continue learning and to pursue the arts. While our
members study in all kinds of fields at Harvard – from
computer science and statistics to history and literature
– we all still share a love of music. Part of our message
to children is that no matter what you do academically
or professionally, you should always make time for the
things that you love.

At the Charity Concert this year we hope to use the
energy and excitement of our performance, singing
classic American jazz, rock, swing, and folk music,
to encourage the audience to give generously to the
worthy causes that Ivy has chosen to support. Along
with our sister group, the Radcliffe Pitches, we hope our
performance inspires students, both boys and girls, to
value education and to apply themselves in developing
their individual skills and talents both in and out of the
classroom. Above all though, we hope that everyone in
attendance at the concert has fun and shares in the joy
that we feel as we make music together. The Radcliffe Pitches are thrilled to be travelling
to China on a performance tour this June. It is
an incredible opportunity because it allows us to
share our music with an international audience.
Our concerts on campus cater to Harvard
community audience members who are familiar
with our repertoire. When we travel abroad, we
perform for unfamiliar faces who may have never
heard a cappella music performed live before.
The event that the Pitches are most excited for
is our charity concert. We will perform a one-
hour set, in addition to a few songs with our
brother group, the Harvard Krokodiloes. Audience
members can look forward to romantic ballads,
upbeat standards, and a classic Chinese song.
Importantly, the profits of this event will be
donated to two wonderful charities, Dew Drop
Little Flowers and Educating Girls of Rural China.
The former organization promotes the medical
well-being of Chinese orphans and the latter helps
educate low-income girls in Gansu province. The
Pitches are grateful for the opportunity to give
back to Chinese charities given how much we will
have gained from our experiences in China on tour.
