SPOTLIGHT
NINGBO
Ivy Bilingual School Summit Residence Campus
In Ningbo, Ivy Bilingual Shool Summit Residence
campus has carried out “Week for Change” to change
children’s attitude towards the environment we
live in and take relevant actions. In the classrooms,
students learned to sort our garbage; in open rooms,
we put activity materials in order; on the playground,
we wiped our slides clean; in our community, children
helped pick up the fallen leaves; at the grand
phalanx sharing meeting, children demonstrated
their beautiful posters and shared what they have
learned. The environment we live in has improved
because of the care from all children. The students
believe that their contribution can help the society
even just a little bit, and that gives them- a sense of
empowerment.
“Week for Change” is part of Ivy Education
Group’s “WE CARE” community initiative. In the
past three years, we have helped our community
by raising funds to support the art and music
programs of six migrant workers’ children’s
schools in Beijing; painted and renovated
classrooms for another migrant children school;
purchased daily necessities for a needy school in
Tibet etc., supported victims of natural disasters
and much more.
We aim to ensure that “WE CARE” is a transparent,
sustainable and meaningful charity initiative that
our community can truly participate in, so that
our students can feel empowered, and know that
they can make a difference.
