One of the lasting and valuable charities of Alexander Mantashyants is the Armenian Church of Paris . Due to commercial affairs , he spent four months a year in Paris . Every Sunday he participated in the holy liturgy in the church rented by the Armenians . Mantashyants decided to build a chapel in Paris . The idea gradually developed into building a church . On July 4 , 1902 , the construction began : the first stone was laid on October 2 , and two years later , on October 2 , 1904 , The Armenian St .
