1976 թ-ին ընտանիքը տեղափոխվում է Շվեյցարիա , որտեղ էլ մի տարի հետո ծնվում է նրանց 2-րդ որդին ՝ Նիկոլան :
2008 թ-ին Ազնավուրին ՀՀ քաղաքացիություն է շնորհվում , իսկ մեկ տարի անց Ազնավուրը համաձայնում է ստանձնել Շվեյցարիայում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպանի պաշտոնը , որն զբաղեցնում է մինչև կյանքի ավարտը : Նա նաև ՅՈւՆԵՍԿՕ-ում Հայաստանի մշտական ներկայացուցիչն էր :
Ազնավուրը խաղացել է ավելի քան 90 կինոնկարում , գրել է ավելի քան 1200 երգ , երգել 8 լեզվով , թողարկել է 37 ոսկե ալբոմ : Նրա ձայնասկավառակներից շատերը ճանաչվել են « Ոսկե » և « Պլատինե » ` գրանցելով միլիոնից ավելի օրինակների վաճառք :
Շառլ Ազնավուրն արժանացել է Ֆրանսիայի Պատվո լեգեոնի շքանշանի , Բելգիայի Թագի շքանշանի ասպետի , ՀՀ Ազգային հերոսի և մի շարք այլ կոչումների ու շքանշանների : Եղել է Ֆրանսիայի լավագույն երգիչը : 1988 թ-ի Սպիտակի երկրաշարժը շրջադարձային է եղել Ազնավուրի կյանքում :
Ողբերգությունից 2 օր անց , դեկտեմբերի 9-ին , Փարիզում հաստատվել է « Ազնավուղ պուղ լը Աղմենի » (« Ազնավուրը Հայաստանի համար ») ընկերությունը : Ազնավուրը բոլորին փոխանցում էր իր նորաբաց ընկերության հասցեն ՝ Շանզ Էլիզե № 76-78 , կոչ անելով մարդկանց Հայաստան ուղարկել այն , ինչ կարող են . դեղորայք , արյան փոխպատվաստման , վիրահատության համար անհրաժեշտ սարքեր , ծածկոցներ , էլեկտրական գեներատորներ , երեխաների կոշիկներ և այլն :
Մինչ այդ նա Հայաստանում եղել էր ընդամենը մեկ անգամ ՝ մենահամերգով : Այս այցը պետք է լիներ միայն Հայաստանին օգնելու համար , զոհվել էր 25 հազար մարդ , անօթևան էին մնացել հազարավոր փոքրիկներ :
Առաջին անհրաժեշտության պարագաներով լի մի ամբողջ օդանավ է հասնում Հայաստան : Շառլ Ազնավուրը շտապեց Գյումրի , կանգնեց Սբ Ամենափրկիչ եկեnant that he was immediately propelled into stardom . In the late 1950s , Aznavour began to act in films with more relish . Short and stubby in stature and excessively brash and brooding in nature , he was hardly a leading man material but he embraced his shortcomings nevertheless . Aznavour served as actor and composer / music arranger for many films . Then he starred in the popular musical " Mr Carnival " ( 1965 ), in which he performed his hit song " La Bohême ."
In 1968 he found love and stability with his third wife Ulla . Thanks to her , he was able to draw a line and get rid of all the " parasites " surrounding him . They had three children . In 1969 , his daughter Katia was born , and a year and a half later , his son Mischa was born .
He moved to Switzerland with his family and in 1977 his son Nicolas was born .
On December 26 , 2008 Aznavour was granted the Armenian citizenship and a year later in 2009 he accepted the position of the Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland , which he held until the end of life . He also served as a Permanent Representative of Armenia to UNESCO in Paris .
