� This is the place where what we think should be the expression of the planetary energy dissolves into a new meaning. Supporting the client to understand that it might not be like it is supposed to be, ie. successfully asserting oneself to get one ' s desires met, does not mean that one is a victim( although it often feels that way and that feeling must be acknowledge) when one ' s efforts come to nothing or all that one has done dissolves. There is always a greater meaning involving what needs to emerge for All. � Exploring the client ' s spiritual / religious life can give support to the journey

The 12th house like every house has a myriad of possible meanings. How this house is integrated into the rest of the chart tells a story and the entire chart sets the context determining the person ' s level of consciousness. For one thing, the 12th house rules the spiritual path so it is a prominent feature in every aspirant ' s chart.
It would not be prudent to has stock " off the shelf " advice for anyone by virtue of the number of planets they have in a particular house. Someone with lots of planets in the 12th house could be having a difficult, life, and easy life, or an ordinary life.

Arlan Wise. live on an Island, a 12th house location. I have lived here for almost 30 years and a good part of my clientele are Islanders. What i ' ve seen through the years is that those people who love living here, who feel they belong here and stay here, have planets in their 12th house. I see couples split up because one partner, with no planets in the 12th, feels claustrophobic on the island and the other, with planets in the 12, feels like it ' s home. I see people who come to me because they want to leave and they usually have nothing in their 12th. I will say to some people, ones with nothing in the 12, you need a bigger arena, and that resonates as true with them. I have Moon in the 12 and Pisces rising. I love it here. My partner who moved here to live with me, has his Sun and Venus in his 12th. He loves living here.
Planets in the 12th show a love of solitude, a need to be on one ' s own at times, a desire to retreat from the busyness of the world. I see the 12th house as the spiritual experience. People with planets in the 12th need the quiet and isolation that an island provides.
