Ханой – столица Вьетнама и важный промышленный центр. Расположен в северной части страны.

ИСТОРИЯ ГОРОДА Ещё в 200 году до н. э. на этих землях существовала цитадель Колоа- столица древнего вьетнамского государства Аулак. Но она была захвачена китайской армией на целую тысячу лет. Ханой был основан в 1010 г. императором Ли Тхай То и стал административным центром государства Дайвьет. В те времена его называли Тхан Лонг, что означает « взлетающий дракон ». Кажется, что само имя повлияло на неспокойную судьбу города. Он менял свое название, становился столицей, а потом терял этот статус, чтобы потом снова возвыситься по желанию нового правителя. Название Ханой город получил в 1831 г., оно переводится как « город между рек »( потому что расположен на берегу Красной реки- Хонгха). Ханой утрачивал статус столицы в XIV и XIX веках, отдавая его Тхань Хоа и Хюэ. В 1887 г. Ханой стал столицей Французского Индокитая. В 1954 г. он приобрёл своё окончательное звание столицы независимого Вьетнама. В 2010 г. Ханою исполнилась тысяча лет. Юбилей города широко отмечали по всей стране.

HISTORY In 200 B. C. the Co Loa citadel( the capital of ancient Viets’ kingdom Au Lac) stood there. The Chinese army took it over and for a thousand years in was under their rule. Hanoi was founded in 1010 by the Emperor Ly Thai To, and later became the administrative center of the Dai Viet kingdom. The city was called Thang Long, meaning“ soaring dragon”. It seems this name influenced the city’ s complicated history – it changed names, acquired capital status only to lose it shortly, rising from the ashes later upon the new emperor’ s wishes. The city got the name that we know now, Hanoi, in 1831. It can be translated as“ the city between rivers”. Hanoi is indeed standing on the shore of Hong Ha – the Red river. Hanoi had lost its status as capital twice: in the XIV and XIX centuries, stepping down for Trung Hoa and Hue respectively. The city became French Indochina’ s capital in 1887. In 1954 is finally became the capital of the reunified Vietnam. Hanoi celebrated its 1000’ th anniversary in 2010, the whole country joined in the festivities.
