go down the careless fake path and instead lie, exploit, hide and deceive. You can make a fortune through unethical means, fraudulent activities, frame innocent people for your own wrongdoings, make connections with similar, dishonest individuals and watch each other’ s backs, all contributing to the same unresolved problem. Pretty absurd to think corruption is rewarded to such an extreme extent. It seems like with enough wealth and power you can be above the law … Not something comforting to find out, so maybe you would have been better off never realising it.
Let’ s take a more personal example
A crush. We have all had one and those who haven’ t yet will develop one eventually. As mentioned before, imagining is a warm feeling that calms you and fills you with joy and, in this case, you end up imagining your life with someone dear to you. When it comes to actually confessing your feelings, however, is where things get complicated. Realistically, many doubts will fill your mind: Are the feelings mutual? How do you open up to them? What if they don’ t see you the same way you see them? That last one is the major one; the mere possibility of irreversible disappointment strikes fear in your heart.
And it makes sense, honestly. This isn’ t about any ordinary event in your life with any minor results that you can easily brush off. If it’ s a friend you’ ve crushed on, things will be awkward if they reject you. If it’ s an acquaintance, it may lead to future drama that will only add to the already stressful situation. If it’ s a coworker, how are you supposed to be able to maintain your professionalism around them? Regardless of the circumstances, it’ s a saddening situation for everyone regardless of the fact that some might take it lightly while others might be completely heartbroken. A situation that depending on who you ask can be considered unavoidable; it’ s not like you even control it once you fall for someone. All you can do is try to make sense of the feelings you have developed and come up with a satisfactory-for-everyone solution, which sounds straightforward, but that couldn’ t be farther from the truth. And the reason is painfully simple: it is not up to you. If the love is one-sided, there are few things that can be done in order to change that and even fewer are ethical. So, what is there left to do? Either take the risk and bear the possibility of rejection, or suppress the feeling. Because, in the end, ignorance is bliss.
A pessimistic text overall, but that is on pur-
