Something rather unexpected which, while we do acknowledge subconsciously, often goes unnoticed, is the impressive fact that from a young age, children are exposed to other languages, primarily English. They are given the chance to familiarise themselves with the unarguably-most dominant language in the world, thus providing them with a decent head start when it comes to the English language. This in turn allows them to face fewer difficulties in their academical journey, their socialization with foreigners, and their general understanding of the world around them, seeing as English has taken over our entire environment.
All that being said, it becomes increasingly obvious that this trend of teens turning to video games is not something unreasonable nor unexpected; video games are simply the modern means of sosialisation, relaxation and the new way of spending your free time. Some games can even teach us how to behave appropriately and show respect to others, something which is missing from our society nowadays. In my point of view, parents need to think more before they speak about video games burning our brains. Nevertheless, there are also some drawbacks since video games can become a huge addiction. And sadly, if you cannot manage to control your addiction, there are going to be serious consequences affecting your health, such as
