Word of thanks by Andrzej Kacorzyk, Director of the ICEAH
“It is a very nice moment, it is a nice time when I can motivate my colleagues, my team members and I can praise them for what they have been doing and let me do just that. Let me start with words of gratitude directed at the Embassy. I would like to thank Krzysztof Weyher, who is a great friend of ours. He has been with us and stuck with us through thick and thin and he has always been there for us and it is thanks to him that we have reached this moment. Let’s give him a great round of applause. I really would like to thank you very much.
I would also like to thank our friends from the Anne Frank House who have always been happy and eager to implement this project. I don’t know if they were aware at the outset of how much work there was for them to do as part of the project, but hopefully our collaboration has been inspiring and we have been successful in this part of our collaboration, so thank you very much! I would like to thank Levien especially.
I would like to thank the participants of this conference. Those of you who are with us, you are the ones who make us really want to keep on working. After the conferences we are tired and exhausted but when we look at your faces, we see so many friends around us, it is really inspiring and it drives us forward every single day, thank you very much.
I would also like to thank my dear team, my dear colleagues. I am delighted to be able to work with such wonderful people, Marta Berecka, she has already been mentioned but she was the one who headed this project for the first two years and she passed it onto Adelina Michaldo’s team, who is modest as ever, but she has been very successful in her work as well. I would like to thank all of you, all those of you who have really tirelessly worked all through this project. Ania, thank you for the preparation and the moderation, Anna Stańczyk, thank you very much. I would like to thank the entire team, Monika Siorek, Aleksandra Kalisz, Dr. Martyniak, Anna Ren, Basia Żmuda, Diana Hajduk. Ladies, I take my hat off to you. I will probably forget somebody but I really wanted to thank Marine. You are the bright star that makes this center international on the outside and on the inside as well. We are very happy that our borders have already reached the Atlantic.
And I would also like to thank the press office that has been supporting us over the last two days. The press office can levitate and has the skill of bilocation. They are now at two conferences and they are working on an interim report for the Ministry. That is what they do, they are happiest when they have too much work to do! Bartek and Marek, thank you very much.
I would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the interpreting team. Thank you for the professional service. Thanks to your help we have been able to participate fully in this conference, thank you very much. I would like to thank everyone who has helped us on the technical side with the sound amplification, the lighting and the equipment. And thank you very much also to the volunteers.”
