How could you make the style simpler?
I would make this style of blouse simpler by removing the over flap at the back and at the front that goes through the middle of the waist. I would also not put buttons all the way down the blouse instead just at the opening at the top of the garment, this would save money and make the style much simpler. To make it extremely simple i would also make the hem all one length as at the moment it is longer at the back than the front.
What problems do you see with the style?
The problems that I can see within this style is that there is not enough seam allowance by the buttons I can see this due to the fact that the garment has ripped right at the seam next to the buttons. Also another fault that i can see is that the pocket has fallen off thi sportrays that the thread used to stitch the pocket onto the garment was not strong enough for the chiffon material that it was holding up as the pocket. One more issue with the garment is that the buttons have fallen off this once again showing me that the thread used to sew them on was not strong enough for the weight of the button.
What do you see are the major issues for production within this style?
I see that they key issues for production within this style is finding a trong enough thread to hold the components together, this means that it may cost more to find a stronger one. Another issue i can see is that the material used is a very delicate chiffon material this means that it could be difficult to not get damaged as the garment goes through the supply chain. Finally gathering the components such as the buttons could be an issue to be able to find the right ones and source them.
