Shelly Drancik: Shelly Drancik received her MFA in fiction from Queens University in Charlotte, NC. Her work has appeared in Relief, and is forthcoming in Kansas City Voices. She lives with her husband and three children in Chicago.

She lives with her two cats, Maude and Mystic, and her dog, Gumbo. She is a native of New Orleans, LA who survived Katrina and used journaling as a way to go on after its devastation.
