4. Conclusions
It is difficult to apply existing systems to small and medium sized buildings, which account for
60% of total power demand, because existing systems are made for large‐scale consumers. Accordingly,
in this paper, an ESS management pattern algorithm was developed by designing an ESS operation
plan according to photovoltaic power generation patterns, demand forecast analysis based on hourly
power demand and temperature compensation, and photovoltaic power generation pattern analysis. It
is judged that this algorithm can be efficiently used in small and medium‐sized buildings and that, by
providing power usage pattern information to consumers and suppliers, it will induce users to reduce
power consumption and help suppliers to increase efficiency in power management and operation.
