Experiment Design and
Procedure
We found all our materials
We planned all the structure of
the house
We all started to build the house
We made it, and we had many
problems
But then we thought and thought
of many ideas until we got our
perfect solution
and chía was 250gr. Next one
was for corn 275gr and for chía
250gr. The final measure was
275gr for corn and 243gr for chía.
We think this happened because
chía seeds are smaller and more
birds can eat them. Two possible
changes we could make to the
experiment are: first, change the
location of the house to make it
more visible. The other is to put
less food because the changes of
amount of food are not clearly
visible. If we were to make
another similar experiment with
another question we would ask:
¿How does the location of the
birds’ feeder affects the amount
of food eaten by the birds? This
question would work because
we need more information to
improve our knowledge. The
final answer after all the research
would be very interesting.
We got everything built and with
ready for the birds
We served the food, measured it
and found a tree
Finally, we put the food and
collect the data every week
Data Analysis and
Conclusions:
This month we worked on a
project called “Birds Feeder
Report”. In my group, we
decided some facts like the
variable and the hypothesis. We
agreed that the variable would
be the food, chía and corn seeds.
The hypothesis was: “If the food
is chía or corn seeds, then birds
will prefer chía seeds because
they are smaller and more birds
can eat it”. After some weeks
of research, we decided that
our hypothesis was correct
therefore bi rds prefer chía
seeds over corn seeds. We can
conclude this because the scores
and measurements of the chía
seeds were always lower or less
than the corn ones. They both
started with 500gr then corn
got 350gr and chía 265gr. Next
measurement of corn was 350gr
