ADVOCACY
YWCA staff were invited to join the selection panel of the State
Government’s Women’s Honour Roll; and also to sit on advisory panels at
The Advertiser for feature stories on SA’s most influential women, and SA’s
young ones to watch.
The organisation was also invited to join the National Plan to Reduce
Violence Against Women and their Children Stage Two Roundtable with
Senator Michaelia Cash.
YWCA Adelaide is a member of the Addressing Violence Alliance, a
partnership of government and non-government agencies which presents
one annual workshop with the goal of increasing education to reduce and
prevent violence against women. This year, our workshop focussed on
Domestic Violence Leave in workplace agreements.
YWCA Adelaide made a submission to Adelaide City Council’s Safer City
consultation, and delivered the 2014 Women’s Safety Survey.
