STAFF HIGHLIGHTS
“My highlight of the year was
matching 15 year old Daniel to an
amazing Big Brother, Dale. Daniel
had been on the waiting list for BBBS
since 2006, due to a lack of male
mentors.
He had been matched once before
to a Big Brother who ended the
match early after a few outings, so it
was particularly important we
rectified this and matched him to
someone reliable who wouldn’t let
him down.
Daniel cares for his mum who is
wheelchair bound with Multiple
Sclerosis. As a result he was very
isolated, with few opportunities and
very low self-esteem.
Daniel and Dale recently ran the City
to Bay together, which Daniel said is
something he never thought he
would have the opportunity to do.”
