They tasted great and I really enjoyed eating them with soy sauce and garlic chili oil and it was served hot except for the xiao long bao. We had them when we were having our main entrée. It took us about 20-30 minutes until they came and it was not that hot.

For our main entrée, we had Lemon chicken, Mapo tofu, Yang Chow fried rice, Pork Szechuan style, Sweet and Sour fish fillet and my favorite, Fried frog legs. The Lemon chicken was good. The chicken was cooked well and the sauce went well with the meat. I loved how the sweetness, sourness and saltiness of this dish complemented each other. The Yang chow tasted delicious because they were able to maintain the goodness of “fried taste” and it goes well with all other dishes, although it was a bit heavy since Yang chow is more of a complete meal, I still enjoyed having them. I really loved their Sweet sour fish and Pork Szechuan especially their Fried frog legs. I loved how the sweetness and sourness of the fish tasted perfectly. The fish was moist and not overcooked. The Pork Szechuan for me has a unique flavor. I pretty much liked this dish. It has an appealing smell and tender pork. The flavors went well except for the weird fact that it was not spicy. I always thought of Szechuan having strong and spicy flavors but I was completely amazed of how this dish did not turn out to be one. The Fried frog legs were my favorite because they taste exactly like chicken. The meat was tender, moist and has a kick because of the spices like chilies are used. The vinegar adds extra flavor and sourness to the dish, which makes it more appetizing. I am not a fan of tofu or soy but I liked the Mapo tofu dish. Since tofu does not have a strong flavor, I liked how the saltiness of the minced pork complemented this dish and the texture of the tofu went well with the pork. For our dessert, we had the famous Fresh mango sago and of course I enjoyed eating this dessert. It is simple yet refreshing and was served cold.

For their service, I was not that pleased. Their wait staffs were not that hospitable and attentive. Considering that when we sat down, I realized that this place is unlike any common Chinese restaurants because there were no complimentary peanuts. We also had to request for chopsticks and we waited around 30 minutes for our Xiao long bao to be served. We pretty much had a hard time calling their attention since there were a lot of guests. But over all we enjoyed our lunch. Honestly, the food was really appetizing and worth the wait. Considering the price, it was pretty much fair because they had big servings. We spend roughly about 4000+ and all eight of us were very much satisfied. UNO Seafood Wharf restaurant is a must try for an authentic Chinese cuisines experience.

I have great respect for Chinese cuisines because they take food very seriously. They have unique and intricate cuisines. I noticed how different they are compare to other cuisines because they put emphasis on balancing their dish. They focus on the harmony of dish. They combine contrasting elements like crispy with soft-textured ingredients and bland dish with pungent and strong flavored ingredients. There is always something to look up to with this kind of cuisine. It made me love and embrace their food and culture even more and what makes Chinese cuisines exceptional.
