The Rebbe read all the Pidyonos at the Tzion. While the Rebbe was reading, it started to rain. The Rebbe continued reading despite the rain.
MONDAY, 28TH OF IYAR:
This was the first time that Hatamim Eli Gross went to the Rebbe for Yechidus. When he walked in, the Rebbe said with a smile,“ Rabbi Gross, do you also want to ask something?”
Eli Gross told the Rebbe that he knows a person who is suffering with kleptomania. The person wanted to know whether it would be preferable to go to a special doctor or to just have regular therapy.
The Rebbe replied,“ Nowadays this sickness can be cured.” He then referred this man to Doctor Wilder who was close to the Friediker Rebbe. The Rebbe continued,“ Tell Dr. Wilder that the Lubavitcher Rebbe sent you to him.’’ The Rebbe added:“ You should talk to the person who has the sickness and advise him in a roundabout way to visit a doctor.”
Eli Gross asked,“ What if he refuses to see one?” The Rebbe answered,“ Tell J. J. Hecht that he should visit the family. Whilst there, he should talk to the individual and advise him to go to a doctor.”
