The Rebbe arrived from his house and instructed everyone to go to the Mikvah. He then instructed that only those who had already immersed themselves should enter the room. The Rebbe instructed that there must be a Seder of a Minyan saying Tehillim at all times, even during Davening. Those who had already Davened should say Tehillim while the rest Daven. Furthermore, he instructed that they should send messages to all the Shuls in Brownsville informing them of the Histalkus of the Rebbe. The Rebbe then went to the Mikvah and the Tmimim noticed that the Rebbe’ s eyes were red from crying. The Rebbe returned to 770 and said Tehillim quietly in the room opposite where the Friediker Rebbe lay.
At 11:00 a Minyan was organized for Shacharis. The Rebbe together with the RaShaG( the brother-in-law of the Rebbe) said Kaddish and received Aliyos. From time to time after Davening the Rebbe would enter the room where the Friediker Rebbe lay, he would then join the rest of the family.
On Motzei Shabbos telephone calls were made and telegrams sent to locations all over the world notifying the Chassidim of the great tragedy that had occurred. The Levayah was called for 12:00 noon the following day. The Rebbe supervised the sewing of the Tachrichim and the building of the Aron.
