THURSDAY, 26TH OF TEVES:
Many Jewish newspapers in New York published that all Lubavitcher Chassidim had accepted upon themselves the Rebbe’ s leadership as successor to the Previous Rebbe, and that this is the next link in the chain of Chabad starting from the Alter Rebbe. It was also written that on the 24th of Teves a letter of acceptance of the leadership was handed to the Rebbe, but the official acceptance would not take effect until Yud Shevat.

SUNDAY, ROSH CHODESH SHEVAT:
On Rosh Chodesh the Rebbe sent out a public letter. The letter summarized what the Chassidim should do for Yud
Shevat.( A copy of the letter is in the front inside cover of this booklet.)
TUESDAY, 9TH OF SHEVAT:
In Yiddish newspapers like the Der Tog- Morgen Journal, a notice was published in the name of the Va’ ad HaMisader, regarding the Rebbe’ s conduct on the Yahrtzeit of the Friediker Rebbe on Yud Shevat.
