The‘ fun’ in fundraising!
Supporting the hospitals at school is a great way to fundraise – and so much fun too! The lovely students at Kew Green Prep School raised £ 2,534 for Evelina London from their sponsored run, which was organised by Ellie and Selen here. Thanks so much to all of you!
Working together
An intrepid team from the global technology company Cisco took on a mega challenge across the Arctic Circle to raise £ 90,000 towards genetic cancer research at Guy’ s and St Thomas’.
The team of seven crossed the wilderness of northern Lapland in canoes and on foot, a distance of approximately 300km. Every member of the team has been affected by cancer in some way, many having lost close family to the disease.
The challenge was designed to make sure the struggles their family members endure as they undergo cancer treatment was never far from their minds.
This was about raising awareness and funding to help combat a ferocious and uncompromising disease. We hope that the money we raise may help develop a cure but also more effective screening programmes that might prevent others having to go through what we have all had to.
