“ Creating a new brand for a University that has such strong roots and a history of excellence is a demanding responsibility that our team did not take lightly ,” explained Life U ’ s Executive Director of Marketing Shelly Batcher . “ The long days and nights working with our amazing Executive Leadership Team and the creative people at Mindpower have no doubt been worth it . TAKING YOU BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Although the messages that Life U ’ s new brand expresses to its audience may be succinct on the surface , the meaning behind them is very well thought out and deliberate . For example , while developing the new brand , brand elements were identified that often are not public-facing in nature . One could think of them as foundational ideas that are behind the work that is created . These brand elements include values , personality , drivers , promise , formula , expression and a positioning statement .
BRAND VALUES
The brand values are the bedrock of the Life U brand . They act as a “ true north ,” pointing the University forward . Our values are at the very core of our brand , timeless and consistent . They consist of the following three components :
1 . Lasting Purpose : To live an innerdirected life , to give , to do , to love , to serve , out of your own abundance .
2 . Vitalism : Our recognition that the Universe itself is self-conscious , and as such , creates itself as a dynamic system wherein living organisms are selfdeveloping , self-maintaining and selfhealing .
3 . Integrity : A state of completeness or wholeness ; adherence to a set of values , implying wholeness of body , mind and spirit ; and in our relationships with people and the planet .
