Event Evaluation
Stakeholder Perpectives:
Designing the experience
Overall stakeholders believed the event to be a success due to the positive responses that were received from most of them. The quality of the event experience had to be high by engaging people in the conative (act), cognitive (think) and affective (feel) dimensions (Getz, 2012; Beard and Wilson, 2013). This would then create an adequate return for the attendees as the main target audience were not existing donors and so would be naturally less altruistic towards the charity (Webber, 2004).
As mentioned in the aims and objectives section, attendees were highly positive but could have been engaged more during the event and potential markets were not reached successfully. Similarly the charity expressed their thanks for the money donated and said they thought the event was a "huge success" (see aims and objectives analysis for further detail). An evaluation form has been sent to the charity to get more specific feedback but after repeated attempts there has still been no reply.
Similarly most of the sponsors have not been in contact with feedback despite attempts from the organisers. One however, attended the event personally
