The annual National Convening is the largest gathering of young elected officials in the nation . This unique conference serves to nurture and support YEOs as innovative thinkers , as young leaders , and as elected officials . Determined to accelerate the speed of progress in our country , we give YEOs the ability to grow as public servants through workshops and trainings designed specifically for young leaders in their capacities .
The annual National Convening is an informative and reenergizing experience unlike any other . You can expect to :
• Meet with nearly 200 other young elected officials , representatives from partner organizations , and other leaders in the progressive movement
• Receive policy samples and best practices from fellow YEOs and policy leaders in our annual Policy Book
• Learn from and share with leading policy experts in our issue-based training sessions , customized to your level of office
• Work with professional consultants and national experts on useful skills and leadership development trainings
• Meet in specialized pre-conferences designed just for women YEOs and new YEO Network members
