This year NQ Dry Tropics secured investment for the following projects :
Funded through the partnership between the Australian Government ’ s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation :
• Grower Incentives for the Lower Burdekin Regional Water Quality Program ($ 1.5m ).
Funded through the Queensland Government ’ s Reef Water Quality Program :
• Burdekin Major Integrated Project Gully Maintenance and Monitoring ($ 529,000 ).
Funded through the WWF-Australia Indigenous Fire Management Program :
• Building Cultural Fire Management Capacity Across the Dry Tropics Grazing Landscape ($ 487,830 ).
Funded through the Australian Government ’ s Future Drought Fund :
• Tropical North Queensland Drought Hub ($ 405,333 ).
Funded through the Queensland Government ’ s Reef Assist Program :
• Healing Country extension ($ 210,000 ).
Funded through the Queensland Government ’ s Natural Resources Investment Program :
• Regional Coordination and Evaluation Extension ($ 65,000 ); and
• Reef Water Quality Project Extension ($ 65,000 ).
