Much discussion took place regarding the design . The maner was voted back to the sub- <: ommiuee with a rider that the sub-committee report back within 14 days .
On 16 December 1920 a meeting was told that the Tasmanian yachtsmen were enthusiastic about the original design decided upon and urged that an interstate conference be arranged . The Commodore of the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania , Owen Tin · ning . visited Sydney and whilst no minute can be found it appears that a decision was made to accept the 21 · ft restricted class for interstate competition .
The first yachts of this type in New South Wales were Corella ( Lord Forster , Govemor-Oeneral of Australia ). E . O . J . ( J . L . Milson ), and Boomerang ( M . F . Albert ), but the fleet soon increased and , largely through the " influence of Lord Forster , the 21 s were adopted in all States . For several years the class provided excellent racing . both on Sydney Harbour and lo the other States . lntcrsta1c compcti · tion for the Forster Cup , named after Lord f ' Orster , created great interest .
