On 10 October 1938 the Honorary Architect reported that the improvements at the Pinwater were nearly completed and with provision for the cost of electric lights the expenditure would not exceed six hundred pounds .
On J 9 October 1938 the Jubilee Class Comminee was appointed to act as the Piuwater Management Comminee with power to drdw up rules on management , but these rules were to be submined to the General Committee for confumation .
The Piuwater clubhouse was opened with much ceremony oo Saturday 17 December 1938 by the Governor of New South Wales , Lord Wakehurst . The opening was covered by the Sydney Morning

Afternoon tea was served in a marquee on the lawn , and amongst the official guesis were Admiral W . M . Custence , Captain and Mrs H . C . PhiUips , Colonel and Mrs P . M . Lorenzo , Flight Lieutenant and Mrs Norman Mulroney , Group Captain and Mrs H . F . de la Rue , Mr and Mrs J . L . Milson , Mr and Mrs D . S . Cam1ent and Mr and Mrs L . C . Waterman .
Other spectators included Mr and Mrs A . D . Walker , Mr and Mrs F . F . Buchanan , Profc .~ sor and Mrs W . J . Dakin , Messrs W . Jira , Clive Evatt , John Wallis , Harold Adams , Arthur Muston and John Kyd ( Secretary of the club ).
The opening celebrations included the first race of Jubilee class , comprising fourteen starters , which was appropriately won by the yachtsman who was responsible for starring the class in New South wales , J . R . Dingle in his yacht Kimba .
In a meeting held on 21 December it was noted that Pittwarer improvements were complete except for fifteen lockers 10 be provided at a cost of £ 34 , and a new rule on crew attire was formulated : ' The practice of racing with no cover forthe upper portion of the body is not pennissable .' On I May 1939 a lener was sentto the Warringah
Shire Cow1cil pointing out that uie road giving access to the club property at Green Poiru was unnamed and suggesting that the road be named Wild Street or Royal Prince Alfred Road . The request wa .~ ignored and the Nomenclature Comminee finally settled on MitaJa SuceL
Permanent improvements at Green Point were considered . The request of tbe Jubilee Management Committee to spend a furt · her sum not exceeding £ 180 for the erection of a jetty was discussed . The Secrel . 1ry was insrructed to make immediate application to che Land ' s Department for the permissive occupancy necessary before the erection of the pro · posed jetty .
