without Bizzy. They released a few songs produced by Empulse Records one of which was "Dont Be Mistaken". The single became a hit in the nred core scene. Are you wondering where was Bizzy? Not to be mistaken, Bizzy was still working on his music career, just not with Empulse Records. Bizzy: "I felt like Empulse was not the place for me, I just had a feeling that this was going nowhere". For several reasons Trey Kotic did end up parting with Emp Records by the middle of 2008. Trey Kotic was once again with a record label to work with.

Around the same time that Emp Records and Trey Kotic separated, Quinsis, Bizzy, Sun Of Sam, Booger Clown and a new face G-G moved in together. G-G was just know from Quinsis who didn't really know a whole lot about him. Little did they know this was a great move, but would end up being a true test for everyone. Trey Kotic changerd their name for two reasons. One they had a new member (G-G) and two Sun Of Sam and Booger Clown for their own personal reasons stopped recording music. Don't get it twisted the two will always be part of the Trey Kotic Fam.

So now they had the new member and came up with a new band name, which was Teck Squad. They were able to turn their upstairs attick into a recording studio. It wasn't a professional studio, it was more like the studio used in the movie Hustle and Flow where they got cup holders from McDonalds and tacked them to the walls for sound barriers. It was a simple set up for them so they could start working on there next mix-tape. They began to work on their first mix-tape under the name Teck Squad which was called "Street Prodigy". They completed a six track demo cd in less than six weeks, which was by far the best of quality but they could only do so much with a home studio setup. There next step was to get their new band name out and hope that a record label would pick them up. While living in the heart of the city or what most would call Crack City, due to the enviroment of crack heads and hookers one of their neighbors who goes by Hot Sauce introduced the band to a record label Blackface Ent. They were a small indie record label in Daytona Beach, which wanted to hear the bands demo. The band meet up with the label just a few days later to view the demo. Blackface seen potential in the band and offered the a three year contract. This was the moment the band had been waiting for. Everyone in the group was excited and knew they was one step closer to success.

After meeting with Blackface everyone was so hyped up and ready to celebrate. Snap back to reality because the work really hadn't started yet. Eventho they had a label now, it didn't mean anything at all. I cant speak for everyone in the band, but I can tell you one thing and that's that nobody was ready for the hard work that laid ahead of us.

Chapter 2: What Goes Up Must Come Down

Here comes the hard part, the pressure, the lack of sleep and most important keeping the motivation. Everybody wants something, it may be money, fame, a new car or just good health. The questions is: How bad do you want it? How much are you willing to sacrifice to get it? If you are or have been a full-time collage student and working two full time jobs and raising kids all at the same time you can related to sacrifice. When you are a music artist or should I say signed music artist you have no time to do anything thats not related to music. I beleive this is where artist fall.
