Chapter 1 The Beginning

Trey Kotic started in early 2007 when two Wal-Mart employees Mariano Scott and Brent Roberts became friends. They both had a talent for music so they began to write their first mix-tape together called "The Awakening". Through a friend of a friend they were able to link up with Marlow who was a producer that owned Sound Summit Productions in the summer of 2007. Their music style was unique in its own way.

Their lyrics was about their life style as well as the hard times and trials in their life. The mix-tape took about six months to complete with countless hours of studio time. The mix-tape was poor quality due too the very low budget that the artist was working with. There was only about one hundred copies of the mix-tape ever released, mostly they went to friends and family of the group. Since the quality of the music was a major part of the band not distributing more copies, as well as money had become a issue with studio time the band decided to no longer work with Sound Summit for future projects.

Trey Kotic took a break from recording to gather their thoughts about what to do in the future. About a year went by without any recording taking place.
