ENTREPRENEURS
–
LET’S
GET
ORGANISED
As
women,
one
of
the
biggest
challenges
that
we
face,
is
the
fact
that
besides
running
our
business,
we
are
also
the
cook,
taxi
driver,
maintenance
woman,
home
manager,
professional
shopper,
to
name
a
few.
And
then
we
have
our
business
–
we
are
the
manager,
the
social
media
and
marketing
person,
bookkeeper,
admin
assistant,
receptionist,
sales
person,
graphic
designer,
data
capturer
and
so
on.
That
means
that
most
of
us
women
are
doing
about
12
jobs
at
one
time,
and
then
we
ask
ourselves
–
WHY
IS
MY
BUSINESS
NOT
PERFORMING
THE
WAY
I
EXPECTED
IT
TO
PERFORM
–
or
even
worse,
your
husband
asks
that
question,
while
he
wonders
how
you
spend
your
day!!!!
So
for
most
of
us
the
problem
is
too
much
to
do
and
too
little
time,
which
is
why
we
all
need
to
master
the
art
of
“managing”
our
time
and
to
find
a
“system”
that
works
for
us.
It
doesn’t
matter
which
system
you
are
using
–
as
long
as
you
have
a
system.
How
does
one
go
about
setting
up
a
time
management
system?
1. KNOW
WHAT
IT
IS
THAT
YOU
NEED
TO
DO
Start
off
by
writing
a
long
list
of
all
the
things
that
you
need
to
do,
business
and
personal.
2. FIND
HOW
MUCH
TIME
YOU
HAVE
TO
DO
YOUR
WORK
• Draw
up
a
time
sheet,
starting
from
the
time
you
wake
up
in
the
morning,
going
down
the
page
in
half
hour
increments,
until
the
time
you
stop
working
in
the
afternoon/evening!
• Block
out
the
times
with
a
colour
pencil
where
you
have
set
things
that
you
do
each
day,
like
cooking
meals,
fetching
kids
from
school,
dinner,
etc.
These
are
the
non-‐negotiables.
• With
another
colour,
block
out
the
times
where
you
do
things
on
a
regular
basis
e.g.
Going
for
a
run
in
the
morning.
• The
white
spaces
that
are
left
will
show
you
the
number
of
hours
that
you
have
to
do
your
work
and
other
personal
chores.
3. WORK
OUT
YOUR
PRIORITIES
• One
of
the
vital
things
with
time
management
is
learning
how
to
prioritise.
• By
placing
a
“monetary
value”
on
each
task,
you
can
establish
the
importance
of
each
task
in
your
day.
All
tasks
NEED
to
be
done
and
may
carry
some
importance,
but
not
all
tasks
will
make
you
money.
• We
can
classify
everything
that
we
do
as
ZERO
RAND
VALUE
–
these
are
things
that
take
our
time
but
do
not
generate
money
LOW
RAND
VALUE
–
the
admin
type
things
that
we
often
outsource
or
get
staff
to
do
HIGH
RAND
VALUE
–
what
our
business
is
–
sales,
the
service
we
provide
HIGH
LIFETIME
VALUE
or
SUSTAINABLE
INCOME
–
things
that
we
do
that
will
make
us
money
in
the
long
term
and
sustain
our
business
