Site and Project Setup
The first thing we do is to
make sure that the DWG is in
the correct position inside
Revit in-terms of Longitude &
Latitude. This has to do with
the blue triangle (Survey
Point) and Circle (Project
Base Point) in the middle of
your screen. If you cannot see
these objects please got to
the Visibility Graphics of your
view and turn them on. The
moment that you specify co-
ordinates for the drawing the
Project Base Point will move
away from the Survey Point.
Think of it as two surface that
are moving underneath and
over each other.
Zoom into the top left corner
of you DWG link. You will
notice that we have Longitude
& Latitude grids and their
values. We will use these to
specify the co-ordinates of the
drawing
Go to the Manage tab > click
on the Coordinates drop-
down > click on Specify
Coordinates at point. Pick
the first vertical grid line. You
will now specify the value of
this vertical grid line. From the
value that that is give in on the
DWG. Bearing in mind the
units if the DWG. Click OK
