Site and Project Setup
Go to the ‘Insert’ tab and
select ‘Link Cad’ from the tool
ribbon. The reason we want to
link the Cad and not import is
that Linked drawings inside of
Revit are a lot easier to
manage, update turn on/off
etc.
Browse to the folder where
you store the DWG survey file
you flattened and select it.
Uncheck the option Current
View Only, you may Preserve
the colours, set the import
units to Meters (or the units
that your DWG was drawn in,
Auto Detect does not always
work and you might have to
re-scale the DWG inside
Revit), the Positioning can be
Auto Centre-Centre, uncheck
‘Correct lines that are slightly
off axis’, Place at Level 1 and
Orient to view. Click Open
Once the DWG has been
linked you may check the
scale of it to make sure.
