Their relationship began over a dating app, with their first date hap- pening after some time. “We chatted for months, both too shy to boldly suggest we actually meet in person,” Lyndsay says. “One of our favorite memories of our first date was know- ing that was it. After dropping me off that night, Sean asked if we were getting married yet. I nervously told him we were. We both pretended to be only kidding because that’s absurd, though we were both totally serious.” 20 Wyoming Weddings Lyndsay grew up on a snowboard at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts, and hav- ing Sean join her on the slopes was a must. “Sean learned at such an obnoxiously impressive rate with the one goal of proposing at the top of my home mountain,” Lyndsay says. “To have the entire mountain involved, in- cluding our non-skiing parents riding the lift to be there, was very special to me.” But the adventures I mentioned previously began here. “That never happened,” Lyndsay adds. The story of Sean’s proposal began on a very icy, windy Massachusetts day. “Sean was too persistent that we go ride – I refused. I called my friend at the ski shop to ask about the condi- tions, just to prove my point that it was too dangerous to go. He said un- less we brought our ice skates, it wasn’t worth it,” Lyndsay says, adding, “… it’s called ‘The Ice Coast’ for a reason!” Poor Sean was panicking, trying to figure out how to make it all work. “[Our parents] were waiting for us to get on that lift!” “Without knowing Sean’s struggle, I suggested we take the dogs for a walk at the state park and because he had a ring burning a hole in his
