February 3 , 2020 : Local organizers announced 12 members of the Salt Lake All-Star Alliance to help financially support the staging of the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City . Members of the alliance include America First Credit Union , Coca-Cola , Ford Motor Company , Larry H . Miller Dealerships , Mountain America Credit Union , NuSkin , Qualtrics , Toyota , University of Utah Health , Vivint Smart Home , WCF Insurance , and Zions Bank .
Feb . 19 , 2020 : Weber High School , located in Pleasant View , Utah , inducted Steve Starks into its Weber High Warrior Hall of Fame . Steve is a graduate of the northern Utah secondary school .
March 4 , 2020 : Courtney Palmer ( A – on right ), director of finance and accounting for LHM Real Estate , was promoted to chief financial officer for the organization . Courtney was also named as co-chair of the Gail Miller Women ’ s Leadership Group ( GMWLG ), along with Michelle Smith ( center ), Sr . VP of People & Culture for MMC . Amanda Covington ( left ), chief corporate affairs officer , was announced as the GMWLG executive sponsor .
April 3 , 2020 : Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell participated in the first-ever NBA 2K Players Tournament on ESPN and ESPN2 . Competition was among 16 current NBA players . The tournament champion selected a charity to receive a $ 100,000 donation in support of COVID-19 relief efforts .

April 3 , 2020 : LHM Tour of Utah announced the postponement of its 2020 professional cycling stage race due to public health concerns from the coronavirus pandemic .
April 10 , 2020 : The Utah Jazz unveiled Jazz Youth at Home , a slate of programming to engage students during remote learning . The content series is part of the NBA Together campaign that aims to support , educate , and inspire youth , families , and fans in staying physically and mentally healthy and active during the pandemic . The Jazz also launched a 30-day FIT challenge , in partnership with University of Utah Health , to promote health and wellness .
April 10 , 2020 : Kathy Farrow ( B – center ), VP of People & Culture at LHM Megaplex Theatres , was selected by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah ’ s HR Professionals of the Year . Kathy retired from Megaplex Theatres after 20 years of service in the Group .
May 6 , 2020 : The LHM Group held a public food drive in Utah , with collection locations at 22 LHM Dealerships , 13 Megaplex Theatres , Vivint Arena and Smith ’ s Ballpark ( home of the Salt Lake Bees ). The Driven to Assist campaign ran April 30 – May 6 to help Utah Food Bank address food insecurity conditions caused by the coronavirus pandemic . The food drive collected 23,541 pounds of canned food donations plus $ 4,668 in financial contributions for the equivalency of 36,772 meals .
May 20 , 2020 : In response to the coronavirus pandemic , Jazz guard Mike Conley donated a total of $ 200,000 that benefited six organizations in five communities throughout Utah .
June 1 , 2020 : Jazz coach Quin Snyder ( C ) was invited to serve on the National Basketball Coaches Association ’ s Committee on Racial Injustice and Reform . The task group was established after the NBCA issued a strong statement condemning recent instances of “ police brutality , racial profiling , and the weaponization of racism .”
June 4 , 2020 : It was announced that the remainder of the 2019-20 NBA G League season was officially cancelled . Play had been suspended since March 12 , 2020 .
June 8 , 2020 : As part of its Driven to Assist initiative , the LHM Group collaborated with the American Red Cross to conduct a blood drive at Vivint Arena June 1-5 . The event resulted in 715 pints of blood being donated , and the American Red Cross indicated it was the largest drive in its Utah / Nevada region so far that year .
June 18 , 2020 : The Arizona Republic and azcentral . com announced that LHM Dodge Ram Avondale had earned a spot on the list of 2020 azcentral . com Top Companies to Work for in Arizona .
June 24 , 2020 : The Salt Lake City Stars ’ head coach , Martin Schiller , was named winner of the 2019-20 NBA G League Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year Award , and Bart Taylor , the Utah Jazz ’ s director of scouting and Salt Lake City Stars vice president of basketball operations , was named the 2019-20 NBA G League Basketball Executive of the Year .
