To arrive at your position , how much is pure talent and how much is learned ? How much is your experience ? Talent is very important . Also important learning . You can be riding very well , very strong but if you crash , everything is finished . You need to have talent and also experience . Also you need to always plan . You need to take the plan always in the race . If you are not thinking a lot and do not have a big plan , make a plan . If you are talented ? ¿ Cuánto hay de talento y cuánto de aprendizaje para llegar adonde estás ? ¿ Cuál es tu experiencia ? El talento es muy importante . También los es el aprendizaje . Puedes estar pilotando muy bien , ir muy fuerte pero si te caes todo eso se acaba . Necesitas el talento pero también la experiencia . También es necesario planificarlo todo muy bien de cara a la carrera . Si no tienes ningún plan dedícale tiempo a trazarlo . Si tienes talento está bien pero no es suficiente , podrías adelantar a otro piloto en el sitio equivocado . Lo primero que hay que tener es talento .
¿ Tienes algún pasatiempo ? ¿ Algo que hagas que no tenga ruedas ? Diría que el tiro al blanco . Me gustan las armas pequeñas , las pistolas . Tengo tres . Algunos fines de semana voy a practicar tiro . A veces hago 100 , 110 , 120 disparos , otras veces solo 50 , incluso 10 , pero disfruto mucho con ello . Marcar 100 puntos no es fácil . También me gusta conducir coches . Tengo algunos clásicos , quizá demasiaados , con los que me divierto aún más . Tengo un Mitsubishi EVO 6 , y un EVO , y un Mazda RX7 con motor rotativo de 1994 , el mismo que sale en la primera serie de Fast and Furious , y además de color rojo . También engo un BMW M3 de 200 con motor V8 . Pero no es de serie : lo terminé de preparar en 2012 . Había empezado en 2008 y no se acabó hasta 2012 ¡ Siempre quiero tener más potencia !
¿ Crees que eres una persona tranquila ? Sí , siempre estoy tranquilo . En la vida diaria soy un tipo alegre y divertido , nunca paro de moverme . Pero en el circuito sale un Toprak diferente . Si en el paddock me comporto de manera normal , cuando voy en moto soy completamente distinto porque estoy compitiendo . Tengo muchos amigos en la pista , pero cuando estoy en carrera voy a por todas . Vale , también soy respetuoso con los demás pilotos , pero no olvidemos que estamos luchando por el podio .
En general te describiría como respetuoso con todos , ¿ no ? Siempre he considerado igual a todo el mundo . Uno puede ser campeón del mundo , pero no lo veo como si fuera un ‘ rey ’. Para mi se trata de una persona normal . Así veo yo a toda la gente . Quizá tenga talento pero no me gusta hablar de esto . No me gusta que la gente me diga cosas como : " eres el mejor , eres un rey ". No me gusta nada de nada …

A shame that the Argentinian race was cancelled , but you have lived in Europe for many years now does it also feel like ‘ home ?’ I have lived in Spain so all the Spanish rounds are like home rounds . My best friend in Europe is Xavi Vierge . We started to race almost together in the 70cc classes , like 15 years ago . We had the same managers and people working with us . We always train together . It is a good to have a friend like him . He is my personal friend from everyday life but he is also a track friend . Our girlfriends are so close also . I love him like a brother from the same mother .
What is your most prized possession ? My bicycle . It is very special for me and I think the thing I have closest with me all the season . More than my car , more than anything . I really take care of it . I train with the bicycle but I also I ride in some nice places around the world . I travel all over with it . Not just Europe but , Australia , Indonesia with the bike .
Money or Fame ? Money , as it would be for many people . Fame means it ’ s nice to have people take care of you but in the other side many people would criticise you and say bad things . I come from a very simple family , we didn ’ t have money . But after some years of work I had some good conditions and could help my family - that would be impossible before . For sure with money you can achieve things that are so important to you , after all the work I had to pass through to be where I am .
How would you describe Brazil to anyone who has not been there ? Brazil is amazing ! I think that something people do not know is that the people in Brazil are so happy and have great energy . It is something that really feel different to other places . The people want to live life to the best even if they are not in the best conditions with money , or whatever . I think South America is like this in general . I am a guy who loves the beach , so the coast of the Caribbean Sea in the north of Brazil is so nice . People should go and discover a country that is so amazing .
Es una pena la suspensión de la prueba argentina , pero has vivido muchos años en Europa ¿ Ahí te sientes también como en casa ? He vivido en España así que todas las rondas españolas son como carreras en casa . Mi mejor amigo en Europa es Xavi Vierge . Casi empezamos a correr juntos en la categoría de 70 cc hace como 15 años . Teníamos los mismos managers y la misma gente trabajando con nosotros . Siempre entrenamos juntos . Está bien tener un amigo como él . Es mi amigo personal en el día a día pero también en la pista . Nuestras novias también se llevan muy bien . Le quiero como si fuera un hermano .
¿ Cuál es tu posesión más preciada ? Mi bicicleta . Es muy especial para mí y creo que es lo que tengo más cerca durante toda la temporada . Más que mi coche , más que nada . Realmente la cuido . Entreno con la bicicleta pero también viajo por lugares bonitos alrededor del mundo . Me la llevo de viaje a todas partes , no sólo por Europa sino también por Australia e Indonesia .
¿ Dinero o fama ? Dinero , como lo sería para mucha gente . La fama significa que es bueno que la gente te quiera pero por otro lado muchos te critican y dicen cosas malas . Vengo de una familia muy sencilla , no teníamos dinero . Pero después de trabajar unos cuantos años todo mejoró y pude ayudar a mi familia ; antes eso hubiera sido imposible . Seguro que con dinero puedes lograr cosas importantes . Para mi solo ha sido así después de todo lo que he tenido que hacer para llegar adonde estoy ahora .
¿ Cómo describiría Brasil a alguien que no haya estado allí ? ¡ Brasil es increíble ! Creo que algo que muchos no saben es que la gente en Brasil es muy feliz y tiene mucha energía . Es algo que realmente se siente diferente de otros lugares . La gente quiere vivir la vida lo mejor posible incluso si no disponen de dinero o lo que sea . Creo que Sudamérica es así en general . Soy un tipo al que le encanta la playa , y me encanta la costa del Mar Caribe en el norte de Brasil , es muy bonita . La gente debería ir y descubrirlo , es un país tan asombroso …
