Market Square with the City Hall -
one of the largest old-town Market
Squares in Europe with Gothic City Hall
in the centre of
it. The City Hall
structure is a two storey, late-Gothic
building with Renaissance elements.
Among the sculptures you can find
scenes of peasant revelry.
One corner of the City Hall is occupied
by a 14 th Century Bell Tower – the
oldest of its kind in Poland. On the
Eastern wall of the City Hall you can
see the sun dial decorated with the
Egyptian symbols for seasons as well as
spheres depicting the different phases
of the moon.
