Mother Inside a Young Italian Girl / Roma Duch About the Artist: I am a 23 year old student of mathematics that paints as a hobby. My mother and my grandmother taught me how to paint since I was a child. Both of them are very extroverted and passionate women that transmitted to me the excitement for art. I went once to a painting school but I didn't like it. I paint not that often, usually when I am with them, or when I am in the train, or with my friends. I like oil painting as well but it is very demanding and uncomfortable. My preferred art is the practical one with my notebook, pencils and watercolours just to take a quick impression of what I see. I never paint out of my imagination, I only like to paint what I see, preferably people, I like to find their essence and express it on the paper. 23
