simple chewing. It was more likely the screws holding the implants had developed bacteria, and they
had. That meant more surgery to remove the implants which was okay because the bone was now
healed.
Poor little guy. Just as his fur was growing back and the cone was off it was deja vu all over again as
the late, great Yogi Berra would had said. The good news, he’s wearing his green visor again and snooz-
ing under my desk ready to help.
I am slated to speak at Las Vegas Writers Group on May 17 with the topic “Ripped From the Head-
lines.” I have used headlines in both non-fiction and fiction. For non-fiction, as in Incest, Murder and a
Miracle, the case made headlines for a long time and once again after the book was published. Then, in
Payback, the third book in the Revenge is Fun Series, the plot was fueled by articles I read about a high

Through helping strong women who are abuse survivors write their memoirs, I have become an
advocate for abuse awareness and prevention. Since April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, I have
