the more platforms you get on, the more you’re responsible for what to say. For me there is also a power in music because it teaches, so I didn’t want to be flippant. It’s almost like if God gives you a sword as a gift. I want to learn how to use it so that I don’t cut people’s heads off. I don’t want to influence people in the wrong way. I want the truth of His word to be shining through what we do. I want His Holy Spirit to be anointing our music even if the lyrics aren’t blatantly about Him. I want Him to be anointing us to help people be free and to help people know who He is. To help people feel loved and to help people feel hopeful. So, it’s all to help people be loosed from the devastation of a life of sin and from the power of the enemy who really just wants to kill and destroy them. Music can do that. I never knew exactly what platform God would put me on, even if it was behind the scenes I was happy for it. Actually, my favorite way to do music is on worship teams. I grew up on worship teams, worship nights, ministry nights, just serving wherever I could because I just loved God and felt called to do it, I didn’t know what it was really going to look like. Then God opens the doors. I think obedience is key. I just want whatever He wants for me. I think God can increase our talents. I believe God will open doors to give you a larger influence if that’s what He chooses to do, and if not, He won’t. So, I want to be faithful to wherever He opens doors for me, and if that’s general market stuff I’m so happy for it because I want to get this message of hope out there. I feel like as long as I have character to be able to withstand whatever temptations may come my way, or even without saying “Jesus”, which we do the darkness of the atmospheres that we are sometimes. We get up there there. But I feel called to be there and I love this, which is kind of miraculous.
