I love how Warm Audio is taking rare beloved pedals and rediscovering them . They ’ ve brought back classic inspired pedals like Jet Phaser , Foxy Fuzztone , Klon style Centavo and Warm Drive . Their latest new pedals , are the Mutation II Phasor and classic ODD Box v1 .
The ODD Box v1 pedal is a hard-clipping opamp overdrive pedal . It ’ s known for an open sound and tube-like saturation . Warm Audio has been doing its best to find the highestquality original parts . They obtain the closest replacements that faithfully keep the original sound when impossible .
OUT OF THE BOX : The ODD Box v1 comes in a white box with black foam padding . There is a quick start guide and a cool sticker . It weighs in at just under one pound . Also inside , you will find premium components like the TLO82CP low noise Op-Amp , 2N7000 MOSFET transistors , known for excellent saturation , and premium select capacitors and resistors . The pedal combines the JFET op-amp , and then the MOSFETs kick in at higher gain settings .

My first time plugging into the ODD , I realized this is an exceptional , unique pedal design . I didn ’ t expect the open sound of this pedal to be so amp-like . There is a ton of headroom , and this pedal has a perfect clean boost for cleaner tones . I discovered such a lovely lead tone when I maxed out the
