Era ’, and the word on the street is that Gibson is back in a serious way . When you have a brand with such a rich history it ’ s always judicious to spend some time looking back and that gets us to the drawing for the original ‘ Gibson Sound Port ’ from 1964 . At first glance the drawing looks like an acoustic without a sound hole at all , but upon closer inspection you realize it was actually on the side of the guitar . Easy to miss , which perhaps is why this design lay ‘ in waiting ’ for so long .
The Generation Collection started with Gibson
