BC. He’s in his seventies, and if you’ve never heard of him you should look up his podcast, because his teaching is revolutionary. He makes the Bible come alive in such a spectacular way. But he did a particular teaching on the presence of being in the throne room and what it’s like at the throne of God and the difference of when the throne of God is described in the old testament to when its described in the new testament. It was a revolutionary teaching for me, how he described the veil between here and there, how we think of heaven and think about being around the throne as being so far, and that someday we’ll get there. But then, actually… the veil between here and there is so thin it’s like you put your hand to the veil and there you are. Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin were at the conference with us, so that’s really where that song, you hear, “Here I am, I take a step towards you and it takes me into the presence of the King”, that’s where it was birthed from. So, the fact that all of us were at the same conference, and Fleurie was there, it made sense for her to be on the song, and what she created as the entire track is her voice and its really angelic and really special. My Lord, what a soulful and timely message you have brought to us! “I was sure by now God you would have reached down And wiped our tears away Stepped in and saved the day But once again, I say amen And it's still raining” Your words are compelling in this song and reflect the pandemic that we are all in! It’s still raining, isn’t it? With life often being like a Monopoly board in that we never know what square we are going to land on, sometimes all we can do is to say, “Amen”. [Natalie] This song was written back in 2005, my husband wrote this song with Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, and its an iconic song in the Christian music industry for Casting Crowns. Praise You In This Storm Back in 2017 when I was diagnosed with cancer, and this has always been one of my favorite songs my husband has ever written, if you know Bernie’s catalog he’s written a lot of songs and a lot of great ones, but this one for me was always in the top three.
