BC. He’s in his seventies, and if you’ve never
heard of him you should look up his podcast,
because his teaching is revolutionary. He makes
the Bible come alive in such a spectacular
way. But he did a particular teaching on the
presence of being in the throne room and what
it’s like at the throne of God and the difference
of when the throne of God is described in the
old testament to when its described in the new
testament. It was a revolutionary teaching for
me, how he described the veil between here
and there, how we think of heaven and think
about being around the throne as being so far,
and that someday we’ll get there. But then,
actually… the veil between here and there is
so thin it’s like you put your hand to the veil
and there you are. Matt Redman and Jonas
Myrin were at the conference with us, so that’s
really where that song, you hear, “Here I am, I
take a step towards you and it takes me into
the presence of the King”, that’s where it was

the same conference, and Fleurie was there,
it made sense for her to be on the song, and
what she created as the entire track is her voice
and its really angelic and really special.

“I was sure by now
God you would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say amen
And it's still raining”
Your words are compelling in this song and
reflect the pandemic that we are all in! It’s
still raining, isn’t it? With life often being like a
Monopoly board in that we never know what
square we are going to land on, sometimes
all we can do is to say, “Amen”. Please tell us
about “Praise You in This Storm”.
[Natalie] This song was written back in 2005,
my husband wrote this song with Mark Hall of
Casting Crowns, and its an iconic song in the
Christian music industry for Casting Crowns.
Praise You In This Storm
Back in 2017 when I was diagnosed with
cancer, and this has always been one of my
favorite songs my husband has ever written,
if you know Bernie’s catalog he’s written a lot
of songs and a lot of great ones, but this one
for me was always in the top three. Mark Hall
brought the idea to Bernie way back in 2005,
and Mark was a youth pastor and is still a youth
